Terms of use

Your account

You need an account to play. Keep your password to yourself; you're responsible for what happens on your account. One person per account, please.

The free hour

Every new account includes one hour of play. Time counts only while the game is open on screen. Making extra accounts to get more free time isn't allowed, and we may close accounts that do.

Buying the game

The full game costs $5 USD, paid once through Stripe. It unlocks Orefront on the account you were signed in to when you paid. It's a licence to play the game, not a sale of the game itself, and it can't be transferred to another account.

Your worlds

Worlds are saved in your browser on your own device. We don't keep a copy, so we can't restore a world if your browser's data is cleared.

Fair play

Don't attack the site, try to get around the free-hour limit, or resell access. We may suspend accounts that do.

No guarantees

We work hard to keep Orefront running, but it's provided as it is, without guarantees that it will always be available or free of bugs. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us.

Privacy policy

What we collect

What we use it for

To run your account, count your free time, unlock the game when you pay, answer support emails, and send account emails such as sign-up confirmation and password resets. We don't sell your data and we don't show ads.

Who handles it

Supabase hosts our accounts and database. Stripe processes payments. Google Fonts serves the site's typefaces, and jsDelivr serves some of its code libraries.

Your choices

You can ask us to export or delete your account at any time by emailing support@ore-front.com. Deleting your account removes your play records; purchase records we're required to keep for tax purposes are kept for as long as the law requires.

Refunds

The free hour is there so you can try the whole game before paying. If something goes wrong after you buy, for example the game won't run on your computer, email us within 14 days of purchase from the address on your account and we'll refund you.
